hlx.com – First New Skies customer in Europe

hlx.com (now TUIfly) is a subsidiary of TUI AG, the largest travel company in the world.
Due to their need to integrate more functionalities, hlx.com was the first carrier in Europe and the second carrier worldwide to migrate from Open Skies® to New Skies®. Since New Skies® is not only an update-version of Open Skies® but a complete new reservation & distribution system based on .net framework, the entire process was a big black hole for both hlx.com and PROLOGIS.
Hence at hlx.com a profound analysis of the business processes in Open Skies® as well as the functioning of New Skies® was vital to detect any gaps and find reasonable solutions.
